The skiing at Ski Sundown is magnificent, and if you need a place to stay Elm Motel is a nice choice. There are other sites here than Winchell Reservoir, for example Granville Reservoir, and if you like skiing, you're in luck; Blandford is relatively near. A great site to camp here at Winchell Reservoir is Wilderness Experience Unlimtd, and Babbs Beach is rather close by if you're in a beach type       of mood. What a site this is for outdoors folks. Why not spend some time golfing at a nearby golf course like Southwick Country Club, and a great nearby hotel is Dutch Iris Inn, The. This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Link Trail, and there are plenty of people from Springfield here. Here at Winchell Reservoir you can catch a sight of Bad Luck Mountain, and Sullivan Hollow is also a good place to explore. Summertime highs at Winchell Reservoir                  usually tend to be in the 80's, and all through the night it cools down to the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's, and during the dark hours in the winter at Winchell Reservoir temperatures plunge to the 0's. Winchell Reservoir sees pretty high levels of rainfall; all through the month of August you get the most rain around here while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful.
