Conant Pond is a nearby lake that you could go to, and for you golfers we recommend nearby Royal Oaks Country Club. There are some brilliant whitewater spots on Natchaug River, and you can hit the beach if you want, Woodstock Town Beach is practically right here. Wielock Pond is a great place to visit for more than one day, Charlton Applewood Campgrounds is a great place to camp nearby; The Inn at Woodstock Hill       is a tremendous site to get some rest. On a nice day at Wielock Pond you can take a hike along the Munyan Trail, and dropping by Quinebaug & Shetucket Rivers Valley National Heritage Corridor is just something you need to do if you haven't yet. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Wielock Pond with night lows in the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's while the cold winter nights at Wielock Pond are in the 10's. While you're here at Wielock                  Pond you can take a hike along the Border Trail, and if you come at the right time of year, Quinebaug River offers some glorious whitewater. This lake is so wonderful. A lake close by is Easterbrook Pond, and at Wielock Pond Dam in the vicinity of Wielock Pond there are some exciting things to see. If you adore the outdoors, you'll fancy Wielock Pond. It's a wonderful idea to stop by Jordan Brook, it's in close proximity to Wielock Pond, and Meadowside woodstock is a perfect campground nearby. This lake is so wonderful. There is a brilliant hiking trail near Wielock Pond called the Walkabout Trail, and the vista of lovely Bates Hill is good. Wielock Pond sees pretty high levels of precipitation; of all the months in a year November is the one with the most rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This is no site for people who don’t like to enjoy themselves.
