This lake is so wonderful. The Munyan Trail is a nice hiking trail in the vicinity of Whitins Pond, and glide down the
rapids of Clear and Branch in a kayak. Whohoo, so many cool things in one place! Whitins Pond is excellent! Near Whitins Pond you find the Walkabout Trail which is a fine hiking trail, and if you come at the right time of year, Assabet
River offers some glorious whitewater. All through the warm months at Whitins Pond highs are typically in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's, and night lows
at Whitins Pond throughout the wintertime ordinarily dip into the 10's.
This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Worcester - Days Inn Shrewsbury is a splendid choice. Lakes are brilliant; Silver Lake is a lake that's
right next door to Whitins Pond. On a wonderful day at Whitins Pond you can take a hike along the Ross Trail, and Cook Allen Brook is one of the streams close by that might be worth taking a look at.
