Don't leave White Reservoir without first going for a hike along the Link Trail, and a pleasant nearby hotel is Econo Lodge Westfield. The high level of rain makes White Reservoir a quite wet place; most of the rain falls all through May, and January on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Really splendid skiing awaits you at Blandford, and the scenery at White Reservoir Dam is striking. For       the duration of the warm months highs here at White Reservoir get into the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's, and through the dark hours in the wintertime at White Reservoir temperatures sink to the 0's. The sight of Breakneck Hill from White Reservoir is stunning; New Intake Reservoir is a nearby lake that you could take a look at. People from Springfield love to come to White Reservoir,                  and while you're here and you like golf, you can stop at East Mountain Country Club. This lake is so wonderful. Paddling on Westfield River - North Branch is so much fun, and there's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at close by Berkshire East. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors fun stuff the area right next door to White Reservoir has to offer. There's fine hiking along the Richard Trail. White Reservoir in fact is in the middle of a pretty outdoors paradise. You'll need more than a day to explore everything White Reservoir has to offer, you can camp at Sodom Mountain Campground, and if you need a spot to stay Elm Motel is a delightful choice. White Reservoir is a tremendous spot to camp, Windy Acres Campground is a tremendous spot, and get wet paddling on Westfield River.
