In Massachusetts there are many beautiful lakes, Westfield River Reservoir is one of them. Westfield River Reservoir sees pretty high levels of precipitation; August is when you get the most rain here, and the driest month of the year is January. This lake is so wonderful. Walker Island Camping
 | 10 miles away The staff at Walker Island was very friendly. There were many faucets located near campsites, and an outhouse, and an outlet in some sites. Our sites were located by the brook which on the other side is a busy road that large trucks occasionally rumble by. The pool was 5ft deep, compared to the 'small beach' which is literally a pile of sand plopped by the brook. No swimming in this beach. The arrow pointing to the spring is really a spring hung on a tree. Not so funny when your vacation hopes were to swim in some natural waters. Hiking may be difficult to find ask for directions.... |
