Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Westfield River, and do stop at Woronoco Mills Dam if you're here. During your tour to Westfield River Reservoir you'll meet some people from Springfield for sure, and close by you find the Link Trail which is a great hiking trail. Blandford is a great local ski area, and Elm Motel is a wonderful place                  to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. The top of Mount Nero is easily spotted from Westfield River Reservoir; since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always pop by nearby Moose Meadow Brook Reservoir. And if that's not enough, there's heaps more to do next to Westfield River Reservoir. Visit Bradley Brook while you're here at Westfield River Reservoir, and you can go for a hike on the County Road Trail. This lake is so wonderful. The slopes of Berkshire East are so inviting nobody can resist, and if you come at the right time of year, Little River offers some delightful whitewater. For the duration of the months of summer here at Westfield River Reservoir, high temperatures commonly reach the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's, and after the sun is down all through the wintertime temperatures at Westfield River Reservoir descend into the 0's.
