At Westfield Reservoir you can catch a glimpse of Ball Mountain, and Sodom Mountain Campground is a wonderful local campground. Do go to Shatterack Pond next to Westfield Reservoir, it's a gorgeous lake, and at Westfield Reservoir you always meet someone from Springfield. High temperatures at Westfield Reservoir through the summer months are in the 80's, and the overnight is a bit colder of course, typically in the 50's. Highs through the winter are regularly

Moose Meadow Brook Reservoir is a nearby lake that you could take a look at, and hey, Gotta ski right? Blandford is a good site to do that. This lake is so wonderful. There's some flowing water close by, Potash Brook is a stream you can stop by while you're here, and close by you stumble on the Link Trail which is a good hiking trail. So much | |

exciting stuff to do at Westfield Reservoir, so little time. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Little River; going for a hike on the Richard Trail is always a tremendous adventure. This
lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites WESTFIELD is a nice site to spend a night or two, and charming scenery and great skiing is what you obtain at Berkshire East. Westfield Reservoir
is a relatively wet place usually with a lot of rain; during May this area sees the most rain, and January is when it's the driest. If you came for an overnight stay Wilderness Experience Unlimtd is a tremendous location to camp;
if you're here you can play some golf at Shaker Farms Country Club. A great close by hotel is Elm Motel; there are some good whitewater spots on Westfield River. Just can't get enough of Westfield Reservoir. Do take a look at
Tekoa Dam since you're here at Westfield Reservoir, and there are fine sites to look at along the County Road Trail.

Walker Island Camping
 | 12 miles away The staff at Walker Island was very friendly. There were many faucets located near campsites, and an outhouse, and an outlet in some sites. Our sites were located by the brook which on the other side is a busy road that large trucks occasionally rumble by. The pool was 5ft deep, compared to the 'small beach' which is literally a pile of sand plopped by the brook. No swimming in this beach. The arrow pointing to the spring is really a spring hung on a tree. Not so funny when your vacation hopes were to swim in some natural waters. Hiking may be difficult to find ask for directions.... |
