Lakes are such calm spots, why not go to Blaney Pond right next door to Westend Pond, and dry warm beds await you at Hampton Inn New BedfordFrhavn. Nothing beats kicking back at West Beach, and a wooded neighborhood nearby is Black Woods. This lake is so wonderful. Swamps are attention-grabbing places and Robinsons Hole       next to Westend Pond is no exception; some interesting geology is available here, South Bluff is right here. Westend Pond gets lots of water; during the month of December you get the most rain around here; the driest month is July. Throughout the summertime highs here at Westend Pond get into the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 60's. For the duration of the winter this place gets highs in the 30's with temperatures at Westend Pond dipping                  down into the 20's all through winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. But wait, there's more to do near Westend Pond. A trip to Kettle Cove right next door to Westend Pond is always a good idea, and why not camp at Coolfont Resort while you're here at Westend Pond.
