Having a perfect time at West Pond is simple. If you're looking for a beach in the vicinity of West Pond, we recommend Long Beach, and some of the water close by flows, like Bumps River. This lake is so wonderful. East Bay is quite right next door to West Pond. Dowses Beach is a beach close to West Pond that you can check out, and if you want to play       some golf, you're in luck because Olde Barnstable Fairgrounds Golf Course is close by. West Pond ordinarily gets lots of precipitation; most of the rain falls throughout November while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. A tremendous location to camp here at West Pond is Otis Trailer Village John's Pond Campgro, and West Pond is a spot with many visitors from Barnstable Town. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Cape                  Winds Resort (Vri) is a tremendous place to spend a night or two, naturally you could also pop by Micah Pond while you're here; it's not far at all. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to West Pond, and through the night it cools down to the 60's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at West Pond.
