Watershops Pond gets a large amount of water; the wettest month of the year is regularly May, that's the one that rains the most; the driest month of the year is January. Man, is there a heap of amusing stuff to do near Watershops Pond. Dry warm beds await you at Sheraton Springfield At Monarch Place, and in case you don’t mind getting                  soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Connecticut River. Watershops Pond is delightful enough to spend more than a day at, Windy Acres Campground is a delightful local campground, and a lake nearby is Porter Lake. Watershops Pond Dam is striking and it's in the neighborhood of Watershops Pond, and there's great hiking along the Link Trail. A day on the slopes of Blandford is just what you need, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Watershops Pond; Richard Trail is a glorious local trail.
