It's always fun to stop by Washburn pond. There's just no way someone can get bored here at Washburn pond. Dry warm beds await you at La Plaza Del Sol, and a trip to nearby Briants Neck is very relaxing. Mashpee River Dam has glorious water scenery and it's in the neighborhood of Washburn pond, and a delightful beach close by is Oyster Harbors Beach. Camping at Otis Trailer Village John's Pond Campgro is always a perfect experience, and Snake Pond Beach is a beach

This lake is so wonderful. Sea Mist Resort is a fine place to get some rest; you're sure to stumble upon some cheerful folks from Barnstable Town here. This lake is so wonderful. There are swamps here too; Whitcomb Swamp is in the vicinity, and a round of golf at nearby Cotuit High Ground Golf Course is a brilliant way to kill some time.

down it descends down to the 60's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 30's, and through the dark hours in the winter at Washburn pond temperatures plunge to the 10's. This is a perfect neighborhood for folks
who like lakes. Lily Pond is a lake in the vicinity; a pleasant location to camp here at Washburn pond is Dunroamin' Trailer Park. Visiting Cape Cod National Seashore is just something you need to do if you haven't yet, and you're
probably into lakes, Mashpee Pond is one of those nearby.
The high level of rainfall makes Washburn pond a pretty wet site; the month of November is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month is July.

It's a cool campground to go to but if you like to stay out late stay away because they come around at like ten and make everyone go bad to their own camp sites and you can't stay at that play ground. And if you don't go back to your campsite when they make their second rounds the rangers chase you on golf carts. Which is pretty fun because you have to out run them. But everything else is pretty chill.... |

I was interested in a rental on Widgeon Pond. I stayed there many years ago and loved it....I have a cottage on Widgeon Pond. Nice, quiet and relaxing pond with reasonable fishing. Swimming is nice but sometimes the water is really high, almost to the extent where there is no beach at all. Some people have small parties or gatherings, but there aren't any loud parties. Very calming place to chill out.... |
