The warmest time of the year at Wards Pond arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. Summer nighttime lows descend down to the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 30's, and nighttime lows in the 10's for Wards Pond. This lake is so wonderful. If time       allows, Boston Harbor Islands National Recreation Area is a national park worth a visit, and the best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by Bradford. Hit the slopes at Blue Hills in the neighborhood, and the peak of Aspinwall Hill can be spotted from Wards Pond. Camp Micah is a great local campground, and a day at Malibu Beach is time well spent. Charles River has a wonderful whitewater paddling spot nearby; this is a popular site for people                  from Boston-Cambridge-Quincy. What a site this is for outdoors people.
