Wadkin Hill is picturesque and can be observed from Wallum Lake, and there are some fine whitewater spots on Quinebaug River. Swamps like Douglas Cedar Swamp are fun to pop by, and great hiking is available along the Munyan Trail. The cheerful folks of Worcester like to hang out nearby; there's great hiking along the Walkabout Trail. This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp Winding       Brook Camping Area is a tremendous site to do that, and a spree to Wallum Lake wouldn't be complete without taking a look at Boiling Spring. For the period of the days of summer highs here at Wallum Lake get into the 80's with night lows in the 50's. For the duration of the wintertime the highs are frequently in the 30's with temperatures at Wallum Lake dipping down into the 10's during winter nights. Any time is a great time at Wallum Lake if you love the outdoors.                  Get yourself into a kayak and hit Clear and Branch, and if you're looking for a tremendous trip, Quinebaug & Shetucket Rivers Valley National Heritage Corridor is quite near. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Wallum Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Buck Hill Family Campground is a great location for that, and Edgewood Golf Course is a golf course nearby. If you need a place to stay Econo Lodge Sutton is a great choice, and it's a great idea to stop at Cold Spring Brook. This place is so good, just look at all the exciting things to do near Wallum Lake. You don’t have to go far from Wallum Lake to see the water at Wallum Lake Dam, and don't leave Wallum Lake without first going for a hike along the Ross Trail. A pretty lake like Wallum Lake next to Wallum Lake is a perfect site to have a look at, and Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Auburn is a brilliant site to get some rest. Lakes are such calm places, why not check out Wallum Lake in close proximity to Wallum Lake, and the trees of Buck Hill are a good source of shade on hot summer days. This lake is so wonderful.
