This lake is so wonderful. Get wet paddling on Quaboag River; why not camp at Lakeside Resort since you're here at Walker Pond. If time allows, Quinebaug & Shetucket Rivers Valley National Heritage Corridor is a national park worth going to, and you'll hit upon a pretty lake called Pistol Pond. What a place this is for outdoors folks. While you're here at Walker Pond, you could also have a look at pretty Fish Pond; Comfort Inn       & Suites Colonial is a fine place to get some rest. Much rainfall falls at Walker Pond; through the month of November you get the most rain around here while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. A delightful spot to camp here at Walker Pond is Yogi Bear's Sturbridge Jellystone Park, and Walker Pond is not far at all from Willimantic. High temperatures at Walker Pond all through the summer are in the 80's. Throughout the moonlight hours                  it's frequently in the 50's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 30's, and during the dark hours in the winter at Walker Pond temperatures fall to the 10's. Royal Oaks Country Club is a pleasant golf course nearby; dry warm beds await you at Scottish Inns Sturbridge. If you're interested in hydro structures, you can check out Fish Pond Dam C. Honey Brook is a pleasant local stream; you can hit the slopes at Pine Ridge in close proximity. This lake is so wonderful.
