Why not stop by Walker Pond if you're passing through these parts. This lake is so wonderful. A splendid site to camp here at Walker Pond is Lakeside Resort, and get covered with water paddling on Natchaug River. Walker Pond is great enough to spend more than a day at, Yogi Bear's Sturbridge Jellystone Park is a great local campground. Whitewater paddling is good on Quaboag River, and if you have the time, Quinebaug & Shetucket Rivers Valley National Heritage

There's just no way someone can get bored here at Walker Pond. Take a side journey to Honey Brook, and enjoy a round of golf at Royal Oaks Country Club. Walker Pond sees pretty high levels of rainfall; November is the wettest month with most rain, and February on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Through the summertime, highs usually are in the 80's at Walker Pond. Summer nighttime lows dip down to the 50's. Through the winter highs are in the 30's while the
cold winter nights at Walker Pond are in the 10's. Comfort Inn & Suites Colonial is a delightful place to get some rest, and if you've had enough of Walker Pond, Quacumquasit Pond is close by. A day on the slopes of Pine Ridge is
just what you need, and Walker Mountain is easy to spot from Walker Pond.
After a long day outdoors Scottish Inns Sturbridge is a pleasant place to spend a night or two, and Walker Pond is not the only site close by, Pistol Pond is a close by lake.
