    Wachusett Lake is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. Pine Ridge has wonderful slopes and a friendly staff; glide down the rapids of Stony Brook in a kayak. You'll find a lovely lake called Wyman Pond near Wachusett Lake, and you can spot Church Rock from Wachusett Lake. So much entertaining stuff to do at Wachusett Lake, so little time. Get dripping wet paddling on Souhegan River, and dry warm beds await you at Rodeway Inn Westminster.
 
   Rice Meadow is right here at Wachusett Lake, and Pout and Trout Family Campground is a perfect local campground. This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay Plaza Court Motel and Campgrounds is a good place to camp, and don't leave Wachusett Lake without first going for a hike along the Mitchell Hill Road.
Just can't get enough of Wachusett Lake. An afternoon playing golf at Westminster Country Club Lobby is always a pleasure, and wonderful
 
               hiking is available along the Wapack Trail. You'll meet a lot of folks from Worcester here, and after a long day outdoors Wachusett Village Inn is a glorious location to spend a night or two. Take a side spree to Smith Brook, and perfect skiing awaits you at Wachusett Mountain.
For the period of the summertime months at Wachusett Lake highs are commonly in the 80's with nighttime lows in the 50's. During the wintertime highs are commonly in the 30's, and after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Wachusett Lake descend into the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. A gorgeous lake like Wachusett Lake Reservoir near Wachusett Lake is a brilliant place to stop at; there's some attention-grabbing stuff to spot at Wachusett Reservoir Dam next to Wachusett Lake. Wachusett Lake gets a good deal of water; the month with most of the rain is August, and February is when it's the driest.

Wrights Reservoir
This Lake with little public access. Forget about using a motor boat. A canoe/kayak maybe. Fishing may be ok, but don't keep/eat what you catch. MA has serious mercury warnings posted....

Pout and Trout Family Campground
They have a swimming pool, game room, kid's playground. There are always people ready for a game of horseshoes. They have a pavillion for bingo games, DJ's and dancing. The rates are reasonable for seasonal and weekender sites, only minutes from Worcester....

Heywood Reservoir
Ahhh good ol Heywood's used to be a great lake for swimming with rope swings that threw you out 80 feet into the water. but since then many things have changed people caught on to the fun nites out there , and police started showing up and now the whole place ''all the trees'' have been cut down  above the apple orchard, so no swimming there or you will be hit with a fine of up to 500$...

At this point in time and for the last decade or so the earthin dam next to the concreat dam has been breeched. This has resulted in a lower water leval leaving the infeed end of the pond a swamp. This could be and once was a wondeful place Please help us save it Please fix the earthin Dam. Patch Pond is between Patch reservour and Cose reservour. Great place, everything you need for a fun time. We camped in tents, electricity and water at sights that were roomy enough for tent and screen house. Canoe rentals, rod rental and bait, beach and a pool, good hiking trails ( with wild bluberries and blackberries). Most important clean bathrooms nothing worse than a camp ground with crappy facilities (forgive the pun)..Ben a couple of times great place!!...
