A visit to Upper Shawme Lake is always a good idea. This lake is so wonderful. Cemetery Point is not far from Upper Shawme Lake at all, and nothing beats kicking back at Scusset Beach. Through the days of summer highs here at Upper Shawme Lake reach the 80's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 60's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Upper Shawme Lake. Dry warm beds await you at Dan'l Webster Inn;

This lake is so wonderful. If you're interested in hydro structures, you can stop at East Boat Basin. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Upper Shawme Lake has to offer, you can camp at Peters Pond Park. If you need a location to stay Belfry Inn is a great choice, and you can always enjoy a lazy day on the beach at Town Beach. This place, Upper Shawme Lake, it clearly has so much outdoors | |

explore nearby Shawme Lake. The high level of rain makes Upper Shawme Lake a reasonably wet location; during the month of November you get the most rain around here, and the driest month of the year is July. But wait, there's more
to do close to Upper Shawme Lake. A spree to Cape Cod National Seashore is worthwhile.
Elephantback Hill is pretty and can be spotted from Upper Shawme Lake, and there's some flowing water close by, Bass Creek is a stream you

 | It's a cool campground to go to but if you like to stay out late stay away because they come around at like ten and make everyone go bad to their own camp sites and you can't stay at that play ground. And if you don't go back to your campsite when they make their second rounds the rangers chase you on golf carts. Which is pretty fun because you have to out run them. But everything else is pretty chill.... |

I was interested in a rental on Widgeon Pond. I stayed there many years ago and loved it....I have a cottage on Widgeon Pond. Nice, quiet and relaxing pond with reasonable fishing. Swimming is nice but sometimes the water is really high, almost to the extent where there is no beach at all. Some people have small parties or gatherings, but there aren't any loud parties. Very calming place to chill out.... |

Ellis Haven was my summer vacation every year from 1957 to 1967. I'm 58 years old now and my best memories are of Ellis Haven. Looks like it's still a beautiful place to take a vacation....I have been going to Ellis Haven for 50 years. It is definately one of my favorite campgrounds. It is very family oriented and extremely clean. The pond is fabulous for swimming and great for fishing too.... |
