Hill. And that's not all you can do here at Travers Pond. Very delightful water scenery is available at Bents Pond Dam in close proximity to Travers Pond, and the slopes of Pine Ridge are so inviting noone can resist. Travers
Pond is a wet place that gets a good deal of rainfall; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Golf can be played at Gardner Municipal Golf Course,
and hey, Baker Brook is a pleasant local stream. If you come at the right time of year, Contoocook River offers some glorious whitewater; tremendous hiking is available along the Harling Trail.
