A delightful sight of beautiful Bear Hill is available from Tottens Pond, and if you have the time, Boston Harbor Islands National Recreation Area is a national park worth a visit. And if that's not enough, there's a heap more to do in close proximity to Tottens Pond. In the event that you don't mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Concord River, and you can stay the night at Camp Micah. with highs in the 30's, and during the dark hours in the winter at Tottens Pond temperatures sink to the 10's. Charles River is a pleasant whitewater spot close to Tottens Pond, and Woodland Golf Club is a good golf course close by.
The high level of rainfall makes Tottens Pond a quite wet site; all through November this area sees the most rain; the driest month of the year is February. This lake is so wonderful. Really wonderful skiing awaits you at Blue Hills;
a great swamp close to Tottens Pond is Bryant Swamp. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Tottens Pond has to offer, you can camp at Camp Cedar, and there's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Bradford.
If only every site had this much outdoors fun stuff, what a great globe it would be. While you're here at Tottens Pond you will meet lots of folks from nearby Boston-Cambridge-Quincy, and Hardys Pond is a perfect lake close by.
