The beauty of Tihonet Pond attracts many people from all around. Not far from Tihonet Pond you get some good water scenery at Tihonet Pond Number One Dam, and Tihonet Pond is tremendous enough to spend more than a day at, Shady Acres is a tremendous local campground. Wankinco River Reservoir is a great lake in close proximity to Tihonet Pond. There's so much to do here at Tihonet Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Maple Park Family Campground is a great

| | site for that. Swamps can be such exciting places, visit Fiske Bogs if you're here at Tihonet Pond, and a quick trip to Agawam River is undeniably a magnificent idea.

rest, and beaches are splendid and Minot Forest Beach is no exception. Lakes? Sure, Tobey - Jones Reservoir is in the neighborhood, and one of the best things about this spot is its proximity to Parkwood Beach.
High temperatures
at Tihonet Pond through the days of summer are in the 80's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. Throughout the winter highs are commonly in the 30's, and after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Tihonet
Pond plunge into the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Quality Inn Bourne is a good spot to spend a night or two, and enjoy a round of golf at Little Harbor Country Club. This lake is so wonderful.

Widgeon Pond
 | I was interested in a rental on Widgeon Pond. I stayed there many years ago and loved it....I have a cottage on Widgeon Pond. Nice, quiet and relaxing pond with reasonable fishing. Swimming is nice but sometimes the water is really high, almost to the extent where there is no beach at all. Some people have small parties or gatherings, but there aren't any loud parties. Very calming place to chill out.... |
Ellis Haven Family Campground
| Ellis Haven was my summer vacation every year from 1957 to 1967. I'm 58 years old now and my best memories are of Ellis Haven. Looks like it's still a beautiful place to take a vacation....I have been going to Ellis Haven for 50 years. It is definately one of my favorite campgrounds. It is very family oriented and extremely clean. The pond is fabulous for swimming and great for fishing too.... |
Sandy Pond Campground
| It's a cool campground to go to but if you like to stay out late stay away because they come around at like ten and make everyone go bad to their own camp sites and you can't stay at that play ground. And if you don't go back to your campsite when they make their second rounds the rangers chase you on golf carts. Which is pretty fun because you have to out run them. But everything else is pretty chill.... |
