    The beauty of Swains Pond is reason enough to stop by. The warmest time of the year at Swains Pond comes with high temperatures in the 80's. Summer nighttime lows dip down to the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Swains Pond. On a splendid day you can check out Richs Meadow Swamp, a swamp near Swains Pond; the slopes of Bradford are so inviting noone can resist.
Swains Pond is a wet location
 
   that gets much rain; November is the month that gets the most rain while August is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Swains Pond is not the only location close by, Towners Pond is a close by lake; golf can be played at Bellevue Golf Club. On a gorgeous day you can take a look at Revere Beach close to Swains Pond; if you've had enough of Swains Pond, First Pond is nearby.
If you haven’t been to Boston Harbor Islands National Recreation Area,
 
               you should schedule some time for it while you're here, and dry warm beds await you at Econo Lodge Malden. This lake is so wonderful. Prospect Lake Park is a splendid campground nearby; get dripping wet paddling on Charles River. There's just no way someone can get bored here at Swains Pond. You'll meet a lot of people from Boston-Cambridge-Quincy here, and what would winter be without some skiing at Blue Hills.
Any time is a tremendous time at Swains Pond if you adore the outdoors. A day at gorgeous Orient Heights Beach near Swains Pond is a glorious thing to do; getting to Fiske Brook from Swains Pond is simple. This lake is so wonderful. Stay the night at Camp Cedar, and Griswold Pond Dam is a scenic place. If you need a location to stay Courtyard By Marriott Boston/Revere is a brilliant choice, and Belmont Hill is beautiful and can be made out from here.
