In Massachusetts there are many beautiful lakes, Sudbury Reservoir is one of them. There's whitewater on Charles River for all you adrenaline kick people, and Sudbury Reservoir is a place with many visitors from Worcester. Very perfect water scenery is available at Sudbury Dam in the neighborhood of Sudbury Reservoir, and if you came for an overnight stay Northport Campground is a nice site to camp. If you want a nice time in the great outdoors, just come on down
   to Sudbury Reservoir.
Through the months of summer highs here at Sudbury Reservoir get into the 80's while night lows are usually in the 60's. Through the winter this place gets highs in the 30's; after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Sudbury Reservoir sink into the 10's. Be careful coming to Sudbury Reservoir, you might not ever want to go back home again. If you need a place to stay Residence Inn By Marriott Boston/Framingham is

a good choice, and Angelica Brook is one of the streams close by that might be worth going to. This lake is so wonderful. Framingham Reservoir Number Three is a nearby lake that you could explore; Blackstone River Valley National Heritage Corridor is a wonderful national park.
Hit the beach if you want, Memorial Beach is practically right here; if you're here, you could also visit pretty Foss Reservoir. The high level of precipitation makes Sudbury Reservoir a quite wet place; through November this area sees the most rain, and July is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. If you're a golfer then a pleasant nearby course is Stonybrook Golf Course, and Gibbs Mountain is clearly visible from Sudbury Reservoir.
Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Assabet River, and you should go to McMunns Point when you're here. Sheraton Framingham Hotel is a pleasant site to get some rest, and Pine Hollow Camping is a great local campground.

The pond is near some grass. It is also next to a hospital....

Gleason Pond
Great for fishing, non-motorized boats, and ice skating....

Craddock Crewes Pond
...raddock Crewes Pond is a Nice place to visit?? Who wrote that??? They make it sound as if it is a vaction destination. It has essentially nothing going for it. It covers approx 1 acre. An Interstate highway now runs about 25 yards away from it with tractor trailers barrelling down it. On the other side is Industrial / Commercial buildings. It is sometimes more of a marsh than a pond which is exacerbated by the fact that it is at the absolute top of the Chas River Watershed. Due in part to that, and the small size of the pond / marsh, I cant imagine there are any fish in it. And there certainly is no beach, or vista. The old parking lot has been blocked off so there is no parking. The only real intersting thing about it is that when the water level is high, it may be feeding 2 different watersheds. But that is an intellectual curiosity, not a real reason to visit this pond. Well htere may be another use for this pond which is a place to skate in the winter. But I am not sure about this cuz there may be grasses sticking up above the water line depending on how much rain happen...

Locust Pond
19 miles away
1 PHOTO
Locust Pond is a lake that was formed in 1954 by the creation of the Locust Pond Dam on Locust Brook, which flows from the Locust Pond to the larger Merrimack River. Locust Pond is considered a lake because Mass Regs (310 CMR 10.04) state that a lake is ?any open body of fresh water with a surface area of ten acres or more, and shall include great ponds. The site is bordered by Locust Avenue and light residential development to the northwest, and Route 3 to the southwest. The other half of the perimeter is bordered by dense development. The pond is mostly open water with no emergent marsh development. The upland is all forested. The habitat quality of this site is limited by the development surrounding it, however, it should provide at least transient habitat for aquatic mammals such as beaver, otter, and mink, and many of the upland mammals and migratory songbirds of forested habitats....
