And if you're still looking for more outdoors exciting stuff just keep reading. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Charles River, and you can never get enough of the great skiing at Blue Hills. This lake is so wonderful. Camp Cedar is a great local campground; Oakley Country Club is a good golf       course close by. All the water falling down from the sky makes Strongs Pond a wet location; the wettest month of the year is frequently November, that's the one that rains the most, and August is the month with the least moisture. Not far from Strongs Pond, you'll come across Chandler Pond which is a lovely lake; after a long day outdoors Crowne Plaza Hotel BOSTON - NEWTON is a nice site to spend a night or two. Why not camp at Camp Micah while you're here                  at Strongs Pond, and here at Strongs Pond you can catch a glimpse of Chestnut Hill. A day at Magazine Beach near Strongs Pond is time well spent; there are other sites here than Strongs Pond, for example Newton Reservoir. Whohoo, so many amusing things in one place! Strongs Pond is excellent! There are some great whitewater spots on Concord River; swamps are attention-grabbing locations and Hammonds Pond Swamp near Strongs Pond is no exception. This lake is so wonderful. Boston Harbor Islands National Recreation Area is a nice national park, and brilliant skiing awaits you at Bradford. Through the summer months highs here at Strongs Pond reach the 80's. Throughout the moonlight hours it's regularly in the 50's. Through the winter highs are in the 30's with temperatures at Strongs Pond dipping down into the 10's all through winter nights.
