After a long day outdoors Leominster/Fitchburg Super 8 Motel is a magnificent site to spend a night or two; Townsend State Forest is a tremendous forest vicinity nearby. Adams Dam has good water scenery       and it's next to Squannacook River Reservoir; you can go for a hike on the Wapack Trail. What a location this is for outdoors people. Good hiking is available along the Old Country Road. Wachusett Mountain is a very popular ski area close at hand, and a great swamp right next door to Squannacook River Reservoir is Dead Swamp.
