     The Old Country Road offers hiking at its best; paddling on Souhegan River is so much fun. Yep, outdoors entertaining things to do are in fact abundant here at Squannacook River Reservoir. A round of golf at nearby Townsend Ridge Country Club is a splendid way to kill some time. There's great hiking along the Wapack Trail, and Adams Dam is a delightful site, definitely worth a visit. So much fun stuff in the vicinity of Squannacook River Reservoir, definitely  
   phenomenal. While you're here at Squannacook River Reservoir you will meet lots of people from nearby Manchester-Nashua, and Graves Pond is a nearby lake that you could go to.
Field and Stream Travel Trailer Park is a great campground nearby, and great hiking is available along the Mitchell Hill Road. Through the warm days of summer here at Squannacook River Reservoir, high temperatures frequently reach the 70's while night lows are usually in the 50's. The cold
 
               days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's; winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Squannacook River Reservoir. Squannacook River Reservoir gets a large amount of water; most of the rain falls through November, and September is when it's the driest.
Four Points By Sheraton Leominster is a nice site to get some rest; a swamp like Dead Swamp near Squannacook River Reservoir has lots of out of the ordinary things to see. This lake is so wonderful. Squannacook River Reservoir is a glorious place to visit for more than one day, Field & Stream Travel Trailer is a glorious place to camp nearby; it's a delightful idea to pop by Bayberry Hill Brook. While you're here at Squannacook River Reservoir, you could also pop by wonderful Walker Pond, and after a long day outdoors Super 8 Motel - Leominster/Fitchburg Area is a pleasant site to spend a night or two.
This lake is so wonderful. Townsend State Forest is worth visiting; you can never get enough of the delightful skiing at Wachusett Mountain.

Ahhh good ol Heywood's used to be a great lake for swimming with rope swings that threw you out 80 feet into the water. but since then many things have changed people caught on to the fun nites out there , and police started showing up and now the whole place ''all the trees'' have been cut down  above the apple orchard, so no swimming there or you will be hit with a fine of up to 500$...

Locust Pond is a lake that was formed in 1954 by the creation of the Locust Pond Dam on Locust Brook, which flows from the Locust Pond to the larger Merrimack River. Locust Pond is considered a lake because Mass Regs (310 CMR 10.04) state that a lake is ?any open body of fresh water with a surface area of ten acres or more, and shall include great ponds. The site is bordered by Locust Avenue and light residential development to the northwest, and Route 3 to the southwest. The other half of the perimeter is bordered by dense development. The pond is mostly open water with no emergent marsh development. The upland is all forested. The habitat quality of this site is limited by the development surrounding it, however, it should provide at least transient habitat for aquatic mammals such as beaver, otter, and mink, and many of the upland mammals and migratory songbirds of forested habitats....
