Why not stop by Spectacle Ponds if you're passing through these parts. Looking for some flowing water? Try Spectacle Pond Brook, and if you came for an overnight stay Camp Overflow is a great place to camp. I can't stop, cause I'm havin' a great time here at Spectacle Ponds. Going for a hike on the Richard Trail is always a great adventure, and whitewater paddling is splendid on Farmington River - West Branch. Near Spectacle Ponds you discover the County Road

| | Trail which is a great hiking trail, and if you're here, you could also pop by beautiful Upper Spectacle Pond. At Spectacle Ponds all through the months of summer highs are in the 80's with nighttime lows in the 50's. Through the wintertime highs are commonly in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Spectacle Ponds are in the 10's. What would winter be without some skiing at Otis Ridge, and get covered with water paddling on Fall River. This lake | |

is so wonderful. If you need a spot to stay Pilgrim Inn is a delightful choice, and Upper Spectacle Pond Dam is a wonderful location, without doubt worth taking a look at. Swamps don’t sound that nice but Geisler Swamp right next
door to Spectacle Ponds is rather nice, and Lower Spectacle Pond is a nearby lake that you could take a look at. Now, you may feel that's plenty but there's even more exciting stuff to do here at Spectacle Ponds. Spectacle Ponds is
a place with many visitors from Pittsfield, and Mountain View Campground is a good campground nearby. Spectacle Ponds sees pretty high levels of precipitation; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain while
January is usually the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Ski Butternut since you're here; dry warm beds await you at Lee Super 8 Motel. There is a splendid hiking trail
in close proximity to Spectacle Ponds called the Wild Cat Trail, and Allen Mountain is a peak you can observe from Spectacle Ponds.
