You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the fun stuff at Smith Pond. Visiting Quinebaug & Shetucket Rivers Valley National Heritage Corridor is just something you need to do if you haven't yet, and if you need a location to stay Emerald Towers is a perfect choice. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Ross Trail; a delightful close by hotel is La Residence. This lake is so wonderful. If you get       bored of Smith Pond, you could also visit nearby Patch Reservoir; you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Wachusett Mountain since you're here. Smith Pond gets a lot of water; of all the months in a year May is the one with the most rain, and the driest month of the year is February. Throughout the summer here at Smith Pond, high temperatures usually reach the 70's. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 50's.                  The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's, and overnight lows at Smith Pond all through the wintertime commonly fall into the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. Smith Pond is a tremendous spot to visit for more than one day, Wood Lot Campground is a tremendous spot to camp nearby, and if you're here you can play some golf at Green Hill Golf Course. Stay the night at Sutton Falls Camping Area; Smith Pond is not the only place close by, Cook Pond is a close by lake. No way I can stop, cause I'm havin' a nice time here at Smith Pond. Smith Pond is right by the Border Trail. The Munyan Trail offers hiking at its best; don't leave Smith Pond without first paying a visit to The Cascade. At Smith Pond you always meet someone from Worcester, and skiing at Pine Ridge is one of those things you just should do.
