Why not camp at Pine Campgrounds since you're here at Smith Pond, and during your visit here you'll meet some folks from Worcester for sure. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Smith Pond you can take a hike along the Mitchell Hill Road,       and a splendid nearby hotel is Four Points By Sheraton Leominster. This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay Plaza Court Motel and Campgrounds is a glorious location to camp, and if you need a place to stay Super 8 Motel - Leominster/Fitchburg Area is a perfect choice. Soar down the rapids of Souhegan River in a kayak, and Bayberry Hill is a peak you can catch a glimpse of from Smith Pond. Maplewood Golf Course is a golf course close to                  Smith Pond, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Stony Brook. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop at nearby Distributing Reservoir, and on a fine day you can take a hike along the Wapack Trail. Really splendid skiing awaits you at Wachusett Mountain; swing by Baker Brook it's a wonderful site to stop at. This spot is excellent, just check out all the amusing stuff to do in the vicinity of Smith Pond. All the water falling down from the sky makes Smith Pond a wet site; November is when you get the most rain here, and September is when it's the driest. Summertime highs at Smith Pond regularly tend to be in the 70's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's.
