The high level of rain makes Smith Pond a rather wet site; during May this area sees the most rain; the driest month is February. Just can't get enough of Smith Pond. A great spot to camp here at Smith Pond is Sunsetview Farm Camping Area, and at Smith Pond you can distinguish Peaked Mountain. This lake is so wonderful.       Get wet paddling on Natchaug River. You're possibly addicted to lakes, Chicopee Brook Reservoir is one of those close by; hey, Sawmill Brook is a delightful local stream. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Smith Pond with nighttime lows in the 60's. Highs through the winter are typically in the 30's while Smith Pond nighttime low temperatures all through the winter are in the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. Camping at Partridge Hollow Campground is                  always a glorious experience; dry warm beds await you at Wilbraham Inn. Swamps like Cedar Swamp are fun to check out; an afternoon playing golf at Valhalla at Quaboag Country Club is always a diversion. Nearby lakes?
