This lake is so wonderful. Inn At Duck Creeke is a fine location to get some rest, and if you're here you can take a hike along the Buttonbush Trail. Camping at Paine's Campground is always a pleasant experience, and if you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Highland Golf is close by. Beaches are pleasant; and Newcomb Hollow Beach in close proximity to Slough Pond is no exception, and dry warm beds await you       at Holden Inn. Slough Pond gets lots of water; the wettest month of the year is ordinarily November, that's the one that rains the most, and July is when it's the driest. Going for a hike along the Great Island Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region, and a day at Ballston Beach is time well spent. All through the months of summer at Slough Pond temperatures are usually in the 70's. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures                  sink down into the 60's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's while Slough Pond overnight low temperatures through the wintertime are in the 20's. Gross Hill is a peak you can catch a glimpse of from Slough Pond; while you're here, you could also explore delightful Duck Pond. Be careful coming to Slough Pond, you might not ever wanna return home again. A journey to Cape Cod National Seashore is worthwhile, and while you're here you will meet lots of folks from close by Barnstable Town. This lake is so wonderful. You might want to pay a visit to Brush Valley since you're here at Slough Pond, and there are swamps here too, Featherbed Swamp is in the vicinity. Slough Pond is great enough to spend more than a day at, Maurice's Campground is a great local campground, and hiking along the Pamet Cranberry Bog Trail is perfect fun.
