The high level of precipitation makes Simmons Pond a rather wet place; the wettest month of the year is generally November, that's the one that rains the most while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Why not go to nearby Halls Creek while you're here at Simmons Pond; you'll meet a lot of people from Barnstable Town here. On a wonderful day you can stop at Hyannis Port Beach in close proximity to Simmons Pond, and you could always explore Gardiners Rock. Keyes Memorial Beach is close to Simmons Pond and is a charming beach to go to, and if you need a place to stay Resort and Conference Center at Hyannis is a good choice. This lake is so wonderful.
