This lake is so wonderful. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Millers River. Lakes? Sure, Reservoir Number Two is nearby. There is a nice hiking trail close to Silver Lake called the White Arrow Trail, and Little Round Top is clearly visible from Silver Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Camping at Lamb City Campground & Variety is always a great experience, and the Marlboro Trail is a pleasant hiking trail close by. If       you need a site to stay Gardner Super 8 Motel is a magnificent choice, and there are other places here than Silver Lake, for example Reservoir Number One. This is no spot for people who don’t like to have a good time. Reservoir Dam Number Two is a site that is near Silver Lake, and playing golf is lots of fun at Ellinwood Country Club Banquet Hall. Camping is available at Lakeridge Campground, and nearby you find the Red Cross Trail which is a glorious hiking                  trail. At Silver Lake you always meet someone from Keene, and a wonderful close by hotel is Colonial Hotel. At Silver Lake through the warm months highs are in the 80's, and throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 30's; through the dark hours in the wintertime at Silver Lake temperatures sink to the 0's. That right there is a lot already, but it keeps on going; Silver Lake has it all. A day on the slopes of Pine Ridge is just what you need; if you come at the right time of year, Ashuelot River - South Branch offers some great whitewater.
