Shawme Lake is a great place to visit for more than one day, Peters Pond Park is a great place to camp nearby; at
Shawme Lake you always meet someone from Barnstable Town. You can catch a sight of Elephantback Hill from Shawme Lake, and dry warm beds await you at Belfry Inn. Summertime highs at Shawme Lake usually tend to be in the 80's. All
through the moonlight hours it's frequently in the 60's. Daytime highs all through the winter are in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Shawme Lake.
Be careful coming to Shawme Lake, you might not ever want
to return back home again. For you golfers we recommend close by Sandwich Hollows Golf Club. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Dan'l Webster Inn is a pleasant site to spend a night or two; Shawme-Crowell State Forest is a perfect local forest.
