Shatterack Pond is always a pleasure to visit. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Westfield River, of course you could also check out Alder Pond since you're here; it's not far at all. There are nice places to look at along the County Road Trail, and you can stay the night at Prospect Mountain Campground. This place, Shatterack Pond, it truly has so much outdoors fun stuff. A tremendous close by hotel is Elm Motel,

This lake is so wonderful. What would winter be without some skiing at Berkshire East; there is a pleasant hiking trail close by called the Link Trail. Summertime at Shatterack Pond comes with high temperatures in the 80's. Summer overnight lows dip down to the 50's. Pond you acquire some great water scenery at Westfield Reservoir Dam, and if you're looking for some flowing water? Try Bradley Brook.
Shatterack Pond frequently gets a large amount of rainfall; the wettest month of the year is
ordinarily May, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month is January. This lake is so wonderful. Get your heart beating on the good whitewater of Westfield River - North Branch, and going for a hike on the Richard Trail is always a good adventure.
