    Why not stop by Sawyer Pond if you're passing through these parts. This lake is so wonderful. There's some flowing water nearby, Bailey Brook is a stream you can take a look at during your stay; you're probably keen on lakes, Lily Pond is one of those close by. Summertime highs at Sawyer Pond ordinarily tend to be in the 70's, and the overnight is a bit colder of course, generally in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's with temperatures  
   at Sawyer Pond dipping down into the 0's during winter nights. Fox Inn is a delightful site to get some rest, and a tremendous spot for whitewater paddling is Ashuelot River.
Sawyer Pond is near Hells Kitchen which is definitely worth taking a look at, and one of the best things about this location is its proximity to Horse Race. Here at Sawyer Pond you can observe Barnard Hill, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Sawyer Pond; Sunset Trail is a glorious
 
               local trail.
Sawyer Pond is great enough to spend more than a day at, Barton Cove Campground is a great local campground, and a fine nearby hotel is Windmill Motel. Beers Plain is a splendid site to go to while in the region, and everybody nearby loves skiing at Living Memorial Park. Any time is a fine time at Sawyer Pond if you fancy the outdoors. Playing golf is lots of fun at Northfield Golf Club. There's so much to do here at Sawyer Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Purple Meadow Campground is a great place for that.
This lake is so wonderful. At Sawyer Pond Dam close to Sawyer Pond there are some out of the ordinary things to see, and in case you don’t mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Millers River - Lower. There's just no way someone can get bored here at Sawyer Pond. There's splendid hiking along the Sunrise Trail, and you're sure to encounter some fine people from Keene here. All the water falling down from the sky makes Sawyer Pond a wet place; November is when you get the most rain here while February is typically the driest month.
