A charming lake like Little College Pond near Sand Pond is a magnificent location to explore, and Sand Pond is a glorious spot to visit for more than one day, Maple Park Family Campground is a glorious spot to camp nearby. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Knights Inn Bourne is a good site to spend a night or two, and time spent at Indian Mound Beach is always great. This lake is so wonderful. Hog Island is a       tremendous place to pop by while in the vicinity, and an afternoon playing golf at Bay Pointe Country Club is always a joy. Through the summer highs here at Sand Pond reach the 80's. Summer nighttime lows fall down to the 60's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's; night lows in the 10's for Sand Pond. Much rain falls at Sand Pond; the month of November is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest of the months is June. At Pleasant Harbor                  next to Sand Pond there are some exciting things to see, and Maple Park Recreation Area is a splendid campground nearby. On a great day you can pop by Bangs Bog, a swamp right next door to Sand Pond. Why not have a look at close by Gibbs Brook if you're here at Sand Pond; Tarkiln Hill is clearly visible from Sand Pond. Quality Inn Bourne is a good site to get some rest, and on a lovely day you can pop by Little Harbor Beach. Man, is there lots of enjoyable stuff to do in close proximity to Sand Pond.
