This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Knights Inn Cape Cod/Bourne is a great spot to spend a night or two, and you can hit the beach if you want, Little Harbor Beach is practically right here. Sand Pond is a wet spot that gets a good deal of rain; through November this area sees the most rain while June is frequently       the driest month. Sand Pond is near Pleasant Harbor which is a striking place certainly worth taking a look at, and since you're here and you like golf, you can visit Bay Pointe Country Club. No way I can stop, cause I'm havin' a great time here at Sand Pond. Indian Mound Beach is near Sand Pond if you're in a beach type of mood; from Sand Pond you get a good view of Tarkiln Hill. All through the summertime months, highs frequently are in the 80's at Sand                  Pond while nighttime lows are frequently in the 60's. During the winter the highs are regularly in the 30's, and nighttime lows during the winter for Sand Pond tend to be in the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. Maple Park Family Campground is a wonderful campground nearby, and Sand Pond is not the only location close by, Sandy Pond is a close by lake. Gibbs Brook is one of the streams nearby that might be worth checking out.
