The Red Maple Swamp Trail offers hiking at its best; Captain's Golf Course the is a glorious golf course close by. This lake is so wonderful. Bucks Creek Marshes is a swamp close to Ryders Pond, and obviously Bucks Creek flows through this neighborhood. If only every place       had this much outdoors fun stuff, what a great world it would be. If you need a site to stay Wequassett Inn Resort and Golf Club is a great choice, and a trip to Cape Cod National Seashore is recommended. Dry warm beds await you at Chatham Seafarer, as expected you could also explore Schoolhouse Pond since you're here; it's not far at all. For the period of the warm days of summer highs here at Ryders Pond get into the 70's. Through the moonlight hours it's                  usually in the 60's. All through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's; night lows during the wintertime for Ryders Pond tend to be in the 20's. Not far from Ryders Pond you find Cockle Cove, and one of the best things about this site is its proximity to Harding Beach. This lake is so wonderful. A perfect site to camp here at Ryders Pond is Camp Favorite, and you can spend the day on the beach at Forest Beach. Man, is there plenty of amusing things to do near Ryders Pond. Here at Ryders Pond there are plenty of folks from Barnstable Town, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Buttonbush Trail. Ryders Pond is a relatively wet place usually with a good deal of rain; of all the months in a year November is the one with the most rain, and the driest month is July.
