Ryder Pond is a wet place that gets lots of rain; during November this area sees the most rain, and July meanwhile is the driest month. While you're here at Ryder Pond you will meet lots of people from close by Barnstable Town; obviously Bound Brook is a pretty stream that is worth going to. You could also check out Great Pond while you're here at Ryder Pond; it's close by; there's       good hiking along the Great Island Trail. Cannon Hill is a peak you can make out from Ryder Pond; if you came to camp Maurice's Campground is a pleasant location to do that. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Holden Inn is a good site to spend a night or two; Shirttail Point is in close proximity and always perfect to pop by. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this location. Mayo Beach is in the vicinity of Ryder Pond if you're in                  a beach type of mood; close by Brush Valley is a great site to go. At Ryder Pond during the months of summer highs are in the 70's, and through the night it cools down to the 60's. Throughout the winter highs are regularly in the 30's, and night lows at Ryder Pond through the wintertime commonly dip into the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. Camping at Paine's Campground is always a wonderful experience, and don't leave Ryder Pond without first going for a hike along the Pamet Cranberry Bog Trail. Playing golf is lots of fun at Highland Golf, and the Small Swamp Trail offers hiking at its best. Man, is there loads of cool stuff to do near Ryder Pond. If you want to hit the beach, Ballston Beach is close at hand, and Inn At Duck Creeke is a magnificent location to get some rest.
