Russell Reservoir is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this spot. Now, you may assume that's loads but there's even more amusing stuff to do here at Russell Reservoir. While you're here at Russell Reservoir you can take a hike along the Link Trail; a tremendous nearby hotel is Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites WESTFIELD. This lake is so wonderful. | | choice. There's so much to do here at Russell Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Laurel Ridge Camping Area is a good place for that.
You should beyond doubt stop by Turtle Bend since you're here at Russell Reservoir, and get your pulse rate up on the glorious whitewater of Westfield River - North Branch. along the Richard Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area, and Russell Reservoir is magnificent enough to spend more than a day at, Wilderness Experience Unlimtd is a magnificent local campground.
The high level
of precipitation makes Russell Reservoir a reasonably wet spot; the wettest month of the year is mostly August, that's the one that rains the most; January is the month with the least moisture. Otis Ridge is a very popular ski area
nearby, and Holiday Hill is stunning and can be spotted from here. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Westfield River, and if the weather is pleasant, you can
go for a hike along the County Road Trail.
Bearden Brook is a brilliant spot to have a look at; you can hit the slopes at Blandford nearby. Through the days of summer, highs mostly are in the 80's at Russell Reservoir, and all
through the night it cools down to the 50's. Throughout the wintertime highs are commonly in the 30's; night lows through the wintertime for Russell Reservoir tend to be in the 0's.
