    Why not stop by Russell Cove if you're passing through these parts. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Russell Cove that you need to camp here for a while, Rainbow Motel is a great site for that; Clarion Hotel And Conference Center is a pleasant place to get some rest. Going for a hike on the Richard Trail is always a glorious adventure, and everyone loves Hockanum Flat.

   don’t go skiing at Blandford while you're here, and since you're here, you could go to Batchelor Brook. Summertime highs at Russell Cove frequently tend to be in the 70's, and the overnight is quite colder of course, commonly in the 50's. All through the winter highs are commonly in the 20's, and nighttime lows at Russell Cove all through the winter regularly drop into the 10's. Golf can be played at Pine Grove Golf Club, and after a long day outdoors Quality  
               Inn Northampton is a magnificent spot to spend a night or two.
So much enjoyable stuff to do at Russell Cove, so little time. A spree to Taylor Notch is always fun, and you'll find a pretty lake called Kennedy Pond. The high level of precipitation makes Russell Cove a pretty wet location; most of the rain falls all through May while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Here at Russell Cove you can observe Dry Brook Hill, and since you're here, you could also stop at beautiful Lake Bray.
This lake is so wonderful. A fine beach near Russell Cove is Sandy Beach; you'll meet a lot of folks from Springfield here. Just can't get enough of Russell Cove. In the event that you don't mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Connecticut River, and Titans Piazza is an out of the ordinary thing to distinguish if you're here. Stay the night at Windy Acres Campground; an out of the ordinary thing to go to in the vicinity of Russell Cove is Lake Bray Dam.
The Mount Tom Range towers over Russell Cove, and there is a fine hiking trail nearby called the Spring Trail. Whitewater paddling is pleasant on Deerfield River, and close by you find the Link Trail which is a glorious hiking trail.

My Mother was born in Easthampton-Wanat house near pond-Williston Ave. I am a former member of citizens restoring Congamond. There used to be a lot of fish - but now only bluegills -Millfoil is one of invasive weeds in pond. Pond over years has a lot of garbage thrown in it-used to swim there- would not dare now especially where beach used to be....

Factory Hollow Pond
This pond is known by everyone as Puffer's pond and I've never heard it called this before. In the summer there are a lot of swimmers, but it makes good early morning fishing....

I have been going there for over 20 years. It is a great place to take a family and if you are lucky, you will get to see the bald eagles (I actually got to see their first flight)....Lovely campground with huge, clean wooded tent sites. Some sites overlook the Connecticut River, and a few offer access to a swimming or fishing beach. There are some high cliffs on the river side of the campground, partly blocked with post and rail fencing. Small children may not respect the fences, so that should be considered when families with kids choose their site. Overall very enjoyable, and I look forward to returning soon....
