     Ruggles Pond is a nice lake to visit. Ruggles Pond in fact is in the middle of a wonderful outdoors paradise. Dry Hill is a peak you can catch a sight of from Ruggles Pond. Catamount Swamp is an exciting swamp next to Ruggles Pond, and during your trip here you'll meet some people from Springfield for sure. There's a forest here at Ruggles Pond called Montague State Forest, and dry warm beds await you at French King Motor Inn.
Near Ruggles Pond you discover
 
   the Sunrise Trail which is a good hiking trail; a pleasant spot for whitewater paddling is Millers River - Lower. A day on the slopes of Living Memorial Park is just what you need; Windmill Motel is a splendid place to get some rest. In case you don’t mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Ashuelot River, and going for a hike on the Sunset Trail is always a magnificent adventure.

               check out, and you can stay the night at Barton Cove Campground. This lake is so wonderful. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Ruggles Pond has to offer, you can camp at Wagon wheel Camping Area; the scenery at Ruggles Pond Dam is gorgeous. A good deal of rainfall falls at Ruggles Pond; November is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month of the year is February.
The warmest time of the year at Ruggles Pond arrives with high temperatures in the 70's. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Ruggles Pond. What a spot this is for outdoors folks. A lake close by is Wickett Pond, and you must unquestionably explore striking Horse Race since you're here.
