If you don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Millers River, and camping is available at Peaceful Pines. Ridgley Pond Dam is a scenic spot close to Ridgley Pond; hiking is a popular thing to do around Ridgley Pond; Harling Trail is a good local trail. If you need a place to stay                  Colonial Hotel is a great choice; the best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by Wachusett Mountain. Bailey Brook is a striking stream that is worth a visit; one of the major features of the surroundings of Ridgley Pond is Dolbier Hill. Hit the slopes at Pine Ridge close by, and dry warm beds await you at Gardner Super 8 Motel. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is great on Contoocook River, and why not take a refreshing hike along the White Dot Trail. During the summertime months highs here at Ridgley Pond reach the 80's, and the nighttime is quite colder of course, mostly in the 50's. Through the winter this place gets highs in the 30's; nighttime lows at Ridgley Pond through the winter ordinarily sink into the 0's.
