There is a brilliant hiking trail in close proximity to Lake Quinsigamond called the Ross Trail, and Assabet River has a good whitewater paddling spot close by. This lake is so wonderful. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop by nearby West Brook Reservoir, and going for a hike on the Munyan Trail is always a great adventure.
