Valley National Heritage Corridor is worthwhile. A pretty lake like Carpenter Pond in the vicinity of Quinebaug River Reservoir is a good spot to stop at; if you need a site to stay Passport Inn - Sturbridge is a great choice.
This lake is so wonderful. There's great hiking along the Munyan Trail, and if you like skiing, you're in luck; Pine Ridge is relatively near. There's so much to do here at Quinebaug River Reservoir that you need to camp here for
a while, Charlton Applewood Campgrounds is a brilliant spot for that; if you're looking for some flowing water? Try Cohasse Brook. All the water falling down from the sky makes Quinebaug River Reservoir a wet place; most of the rain
falls through November while February is regularly the driest month. Lensdale Pond is a great lake close to Quinebaug River Reservoir; get yourself into a kayak and hit Quinebaug River. This lake is so wonderful. If you came to
camp The Woodlot Campground is a brilliant site to do that, and here at Quinebaug River Reservoir you can make out Blackmer Hill.
