Lots of folks from Hudson come to Prospect Lake, and the skiing at Ski Butternut is fine. The annual rain here at Prospect Lake is about average; May is when you get the most rain here; the driest month of the year is February. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are glorious; Root Pond is a lake that's right next door to Prospect Lake; you don’t have to go far from Prospect Lake to distinguish the water at Prospect Lake Dam. is available. Man, is there loads of exciting stuff to do in the vicinity of Prospect Lake. If you're here at Prospect Lake, you could stop at Fenton Brook; hiking along the Indian Trail is perfect fun. All through the warmest
time of the year at Prospect Lake temperatures are generally in the 80's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 50's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 30's with temperatures
at Prospect Lake dipping down into the 10's throughout winter nights. Marsh Pond is a swamp near Prospect Lake, and while you're here you can play some golf at Egremont Country Club.
