You are right next door to Abrams Point if you're here at       Pout Ponds, and if you need a site to stay White Elephant Hotel is a delightful choice. You imagine that's enough? Just getting warmed up. You'll discover a wonderful lake called Shimmo Pond near Pout Ponds, and for you golfers we recommend close by Siasconset Golf Club. While staying at Pout Ponds you could always explore Madequecham Valley, and a tremendous swamp near Pout Ponds is Dyleave Swamp. Not far from Pout Ponds you get some tremendous water scenery                  at Nantucket Harbor, and beaches are great and Madequecham Beach is no exception. During the long summer days at Pout Ponds highs are generally in the 70's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 60's. Highs throughout the winter are typically in the 30's; throughout the dark hours in the winter at Pout Ponds temperatures sink to the 20's. This lake is so wonderful.
