There are other locations here than Pout Pond, for example Calumet Pond, and you can stay the night at Winding Brook Camping Area. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Clear and Branch, and there is a delightful hiking trail nearby called the Walkabout Trail. Pout Pond gets a lot of water; throughout the month of November you get the most rain around here, and February meanwhile is the driest month.
