On a good day at Pontoosuc Lake you can take a hike along the Brickhouse Mountain Trail; you'll come across a gorgeous lake called Onota Lake. You can run the rapids of Konkapot Brook next to Pontoosuc Lake.
If you're interested
in hydro structures, you can go to Pontoosuc Lake Dam, and while you're here you can take a hike along the Turner Trail. If the weather is pretty, you get a fine sight of Oak Hill from Pontoosuc Lake; you'll perhaps meet some people
from Pittsfield here. This lake is so wonderful. Near Pontoosuc Lake you stumble on a golf course called Pontoosuc Lake Country Club, and you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Bousquet if you're here.
Pontoosuc
Lake really is in the middle of a charming outdoors paradise. Onota Brook flows through this area, and the Taconic Skyline Trail is a splendid hiking trail close by. All the water falling down from the sky makes Pontoosuc Lake a wet
site; June is when you get the most rain here; the driest month of the year is February. Pontoosuc School is in the neighborhood of Pontoosuc Lake and is unquestionably a wonderful place to stop at, and what would winter be without some skiing at Catamount.
