Plimpton Pond is a wet site that gets a lot of precipitation; November is when you get the most rain here while June is usually the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. A tour to Boston Harbor Islands National Recreation Area is recommended; Bubbling Brook is one of the streams close by that might be worth going to. Lakes are such calm places, why not go to Cobbs Pond in the       vicinity of Plimpton Pond; Plimpton Pond Dam is not far at all from Plimpton Pond. For the period of the summer months at Plimpton Pond highs are commonly in the 80's. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 60's. All through the wintertime the highs are usually in the 30's with temperatures at Plimpton Pond dipping down into the 10's through winter nights. Man, is there a heap of exciting things to do near Plimpton Pond. If                  you need a place to stay Econo Lodge Sharon is a great choice, and Royal Crest Country Club is a good golf course nearby. Holiday Inn Express SHARON/FOXBORO is a brilliant site to get some rest, and paddling on Charles River is so much fun. Plimpton Pond is a wonderful place to visit for more than one day, Canoe River Campground is a wonderful place to camp nearby; lots of folks from Boston-Cambridge-Quincy come here. This lake is so wonderful.
