The Plashes is not far at all from Barnstable Town, and nothing beats kicking back at Sea Street Beach. At The Plashes during the months of summer highs are in the 70's while nighttime lows are ordinarily in the 60's. All through the winter highs are in the 30's while The Plashes night low temperatures through the wintertime are in the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking along the Buttonbush Trail is perfect fun, and Cape Cod National Seashore is a perfect place close by. The high level of precipitation
makes The Plashes a rather wet place; November is the wettest month with most rain while July is regularly the driest month. Swamps like Herring River Marshes are fun to go to; nearby you locate Bells Neck.
