Go to Pistol Pond if you want to go to a nice lake. If you came for an overnight stay Yogi Bear's Sturbridge Jellystone Park is a good place to camp; there are some fine whitewater spots on Natchaug River. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Quaboag River; this is a popular location for people from Willimantic. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this site. This lake is so wonderful. Fiske Hill is clearly visible from Pistol Pond, and Outdoor world Campground is a
glorious campground nearby. Pine Ridge has fine slopes and a friendly staff, and for you golfers we recommend nearby Royal Oaks Country Club. Man, is there loads of cool things to do close to Pistol Pond.
For the duration of the
months of summer at Pistol Pond highs are generally in the 80's; during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 30's with temperatures at Pistol Pond dipping down into the
