Sherman Reservoir is a tremendous lake near Pelham Lake; camping at Country Aire Campgrounds is always a perfect experience. Pelham Lake is a relatively wet place generally with a good deal of precipitation; August is the month that gets the most rain, and February is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. Paddling on Pelham Brook                  is so much fun, and you can hit the slopes at Haystack in the vicinity. During the long summer days highs here at Pelham Lake get into the 70's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 50's. For the duration of the winter the highs are frequently in the 20's, and during the dark hours in the winter at Pelham Lake temperatures sink to the 0's. A great forest in the neighborhood of Pelham Lake is Martha's Vineyard State Forest, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Mount Olga Trail. There's delightful hiking along the Dunbar Brook Trail, and Berkshire East is a very popular ski area in the vicinity. This lake is so wonderful.
